St. Moritz to Innsbruck by Bike

7 Days from Switzerland to Austria

Self-guided Cycling Holiday

Explore this impressive and enchanting countryside, along breathtaking bike paths. These paths reveal the rugged charm of the region, and show evidence of an often-hard existence, dependent on the whims of Mother Nature. The bike trail follows the River Inn, beneath snow-covered alpine summits, to the Austrian border.

The Inn Bike Trail starts in St. Moritz , on to Scuol, then to Innsbruck . It meanders through breathtaking countryside, as the wide, high, Engadine Valley changes into the large, forested terrain of the Swiss National Park . The route then passes through the magnificent Engadine Villages, such as Zernez, Susch, Lavin, Guarda, Ftan and Scuol. These are situated between 1250 and 2800 m. above sea level. The area is known only to a few as an ideal place for summer holidays. It is also one of the centers of the Romansh language, culture and tradition.

Cycle on to the Finstermünz Gorge, where both the country and the scenery changes. The Austrian Province of Tyrol welcomes cyclists with its warm hospitality. The tour ends in Innsbruck .

There is, quite simply, no place in the world that compares with Innsbruck . It is the only major city in the European Alps. Innsbruck offers a combination of culture, history and nature, unequalled anywhere else, an ideal place to end your ride!
