TYPES OF SAFARIS
We offer 2 different types of safaris on scheduled tours. For tailor-made tours, please choose the style you would like your tour to be run, independent of the group size mentioned below.
Camping Safaris, semi-participation: these run with a maximum of 14 passengers and a driverguide/cook. We want you to be part of the experience and therefore ask that you participate in the tour. This means, that you will be responsible for performing and helping with certain tasks, such as setting up the overnight camps (tents, chairs, tables), assisting with meals, cleaning dishes afterwards, and tidying up the campsite. The guide will do the cooking and take over all other organisational duties.
Accommodated Safari, semi-participation: this option offers the additional comfort of sleeping in real beds every night. The accommodations used are simple, clean, 2-3 star typical African standard, with a mix of shared and private bathrooms. We stay in camps that have camping facilities as well as chalets, lodges or tented camps. You will travel together with passengers on the camping safari and have all your meals together. In the evening after dinner, you walk to your bedded accommodation, while other passengers walk to their tents. You are also asked to help out with the camp duties, as mentioned above.
